ON TODAY’S EPISODE OF BUG DID A THING— Just a general news update thing, pretty much for people who follow the comic via RSS—

I’ve made an update to the RSS feed, which means that it might stop working for you. (Hopefully it won’t!) If it does, delete it from your reader and re-subscribe and it should be ok.

If you follow via the feedburner feed, use this URI: http://feeds.feedburner.com/messenger_comic

And if you subscribe via email, you may have to sign up again since I have no way to port existing email subscriptions to the new thingamabob:

There’s supposed to be an automated warning coming to feed readers in the next two weeks to remind you about the switch, but we’ll see if that actually happens or not. Meanwhile, I’m warning you. :B

Sorry for any confusion! D:

Wednesday

Wednesday published on No Comments on Wednesday

Welcome to the new Wednesday/Saturday schedule! From here on, Messenger will update on Wednesdays and Saturdays, pending disaster and/or artist burnout. It seems about as evenly spaced as you can get doing two pages a week, anyway. If the next update seems too far off for you, registering for the forums will unlock preview panels for upcoming pages!

A couple of other bits of interest:

– My friend Pomp of the sometimes-a-comic Lunavis is doing crazy dirt cheap commissions! If you’re looking for custom character art or almost anything else, Pomp is your artbro.

– I’ve updated the links list to include a relatively new comic made by two of my friends: WaMoH! I helped put the site together, so you should check it out.

That’s basically it for now. Check back on Saturday for more, and thanks for reading!

Oh, hello there.

Oh, hello there. published on 2 Comments on Oh, hello there.

I’m back! No, I’m not dead. No, I haven’t quit. I just needed an extended break I didn’t realize I needed, nor did I realize how extended it had actually gotten.

Last year I got a job doing pretty much exactly the kind of work I’ve always wanted to do. This is good. However, being a creative sort of work, it made it so that the last thing I wanted to do after I got home every night was do more creative work. This is bad. I’ve half started new pages about a dozen times over the past few months, and gotten nowhere. What changed? I’m not sure. But I’m tired of not doing comics and artwork for myself, so I’m going to make time and start again.

I haven’t decided what the schedule will be yet, but probably once a week for a while until I can knock the rust off my comic-drawing hand.
