New Chapter Starts!

If you missed it, there were two updates yesterday! The last page of Chapter Eight, and the cover for Chapter Nine! If you haven’t guessed already by the cover art, Chapter Nine is going to break out of the routine and focus on someone entirely different – Zavier Kenakobe.

I’m also planning to break away from my own habits and try some new things with the art in this chapter, just to keep things fresh and exciting. If you hadn’t noticed already, I’m going to start posting pages at a larger size, because it’s 2010 and most people have bigger screens these days. (It’s bizarre to think that when I first started working on this 1024 x 748 was HUGE.) The old pages in the archive will stay as they are, because darn it, there are about 200 of them and I don’t feel like resizing and reuploading them all. Sorry!

There is also a new vote incentive this week, featuring the cover art for book 2. It’s still a work in progress and there’s a lot left to go into it, but I thought it could be fun to share for now. 😀

Not much other news for now. The Story Guide has updated with the conclusion of Chapter Eight, and the Galleries have been slightly reorganized.

Sorry for the late page, it’s been yet another busy week in Bug-ville, full of things I can’t really talk about on the internet! Hooray!

In addition to the new page, there’s also a new vote incentive featuring a doodle I made goofing off with a new Photoshop technique. Vote to see!

Chapter Eight is quickly drawing to a close and will likely be over by next Friday. There are about three pages left, though I’m debating jamming a fourth in to clarify a point. Maybe. 😐

In news, the Reader’s Choice vote for the fanart contest is now closed and the winner is, once again, SandraMJ! Thanks again to everyone who participated!

I’ve tried to get myself back on track with work on the second book and have completed a few more new pages. My new goal is to have it completed by the end of September and thus at the printers (and hopefully in your hands) in October or November. But we shall see. :V

There’s a new vote incentive up today, featuring Eldora as she tries to bee-friend some critters. Messenger has been improving in rank pretty steadily each month, and we’ve already shot ahead about 100 places above our average. Help me gain some ground and vote every day! My goal is to break into the top 100 this month, and I’m nearly there.

In other notes, the contest has received its first entry! A visual piece by SandraMJ of Rankor Chronicles! The contest is open until August 25th, so get your entries in as soon as possible!
