So someone else is already hiding out in Nekos’ sneaky hiding spot? Hm.

I know my pattern lately has been updating on Mondays, but I’m trying to keep that kind of loose for weeks like this one where I’ve been all over the place. We’re trying to rent a new house instead of the apartment we’ve been in for the better part of a year, and it’s been a lot of back and forth with the landlord and driving by to check things out and so forth. Crossing my fingers though, it would really be an awesome place to live. Moving out of a place where the neighbors seem to enjoy DDR the most at 4 am? HECK YES.

I’ve also been putting the last touches into the [messenger] book I’ve been working at on and off for the past six months or so. Have a preview! I had forgotten how much fun it can be to lay stuff out in InDesign. I mean, in a weird, meticulous, measuring things and checking details kind of way. book preview

I am planning on doing a live video stream session this Tuesday, September 22 at 5:00 PM EST. I haven’t got a well-thought-out plan for what’s going on yet, probably just some general drawing and chatting and taking requests if I have the time. I might be working on some of the material I’m putting together for the book, so drop in if you want a sneak peek!

I’ve been working on lots of new pages for chapter six lately, trying to get ahead! It feels so good to have time for this stuff again.

So, I’m back. 😀

This update is a two-page update, because when I looked at it again the first page of chapter six is kind of lame and feels like a letdown after waiting for updates so long. So in case you didn’t notice the big note above the comic page, you’ll want to go back a page or two to catch up. Not that there’s much in the way of spoilers here, but confusion happens.

In other notes, the forums are back up and fixed, so go post something. You may have also noticed the “radio chio” link in the top menu. This is new. I’ve seen a bunch of artists and other folks using this site called ustream, so I decided to give it a go. From time to time I plan on doing live streams of drawing and comic stuff, where people can jump in and ask questions and so forth. I did an unannounced test run the other day, and a few random folks jumped in. It was pretty fun, so I hope to do more of this in the future. Watch this blog or the Twitter feed for dates and times.

I have also put in some work on the book this week. If I have the time to finish the art, I hope to have it released by late fall. Maybe I should just set a deadline for myself and be done with it?
