Okay, it’s been way too long.

The past few (well, many) months of my life have been a rollercoaster like none other.

I:

  • finished a college semester
  • finished half my senior thesis
  • applied to grad school
  • had a falling out
  • moved. twice.
  • got my first apartment
  • went to disney world
  • lost a beloved cat to kidney failure
  • adopted an adorable cat from a shelter
  • got to know my relatives in awesome new ways
  • had a patching up

So you can see things have been a little fast-paced. Not to be a whiner, or something.

Meanwhile, I’m up late because something in a box I was just unpacking set off my allergies and my nose is now a snot factory. So what am I doing? Fixing all the broken links in the archives, of course! I went through page by page and fixed every comic that wasn’t displaying. At least I think I did. If you spot any pages that aren’t working, leave me a comment here and I’ll get at it in the morning.

In between that, I set in work on a page that’s been half finished for the better part of a year. No, really. Wanna see?

Okay, so I blurred it out so it isn’t dead obvious what’s coming up. What would be the point of this months-long cliffhanger if I gave it away in a photo of a rare view of the mess I work at every day? It’s there, I swear! And it’ll be up ASAP.

I hope the wait has been worth it. I apologize for my attitude in the past few months to commenters. It’s been a rough ride, but the outcome has been worth it. Thanks for sticking with me and the support I’ve gotten through comments/emails/etc. It’s good to know you’re all still out there. I feel collected, settled, and whole again, and very ready to get back to work. I can’t promise that there’ll be a page every week; I still have one semester left and the rest of my senior thesis to complete, along with a zillion other things, but I can promise I’ll put in my best effort. It’s been a nice break, but it’s time to get this back on track. Hopefully life will allow me to do so with more ease.

Oh yeah, and I also got engaged. I’m getting married in August to the best friend I’ve had since I was in fifth grade on the school bus. Life is just funny like that, I guess.

Let’s see where this takes us, shall we? 🙂

It’s finals week. Well, weeks since I still have projects due next week despite classes ending tomorrow.

I realize there are a couple of odd bugs in the site. I will be fixing them at the end of next week when I’ve had time to catch up on the sleep I’m not getting for finishing my senior thesis.

Seriously. I love comic but comic is not my priority right now.

Thanks for your patience.

Okay, so it’s been a while. Here’s the deal.

As you may (or may not, since I don’t talk much about it) know, I’m in my last year of college, and I’m just about to finish the fall semester in the next two weeks. In itself, this is a lot on my plate, but I decided to complete a thesis project which isn’t actually part of my degree requirement, which has only added on to my workload. I’m also working on assembling all of the paperwork and portfolios and other bits so that I can apply to MFA programs, which is all due pretty soon. Balancing all this with my regular job hasn’t been easy, and a lot of things have changed for me real-life wise as well pretty recently. This includes being somewhat physically separated from my scanner and some of my drawing supplies for the past six weeks or so.

I think you can see where it becomes difficult to work on a comic I’m not being compensated for in between all this. 🙁

I can’t make any promises, but I can say this much: I haven’t given up on the comic, and I’m absolutely going to pick it back up when I can manage the time. Updates will be sporadic at best, but this is a story that’s been close to my heart for years, and I intend to see it through, no matter how long it takes. I’ve been at it for four years and I’ve only barely begun to scratch the surface of the story. I hope to find some time to work at it during my winter break coming up soon, but we’ll see where that goes.

Lame excuses, I know, so in the meantime I’m going to open up comments on this entry for random discussion or questions about the comic in general. This is something I’ll have time to get back to for now.

And I suppose if you’re exceptionally bored, you can add me to your Twitter and listen to me blather about things that are going on at the moment. I adore Twitter. :3
