So I updated but totally forgot to post any kind of news updates. Not that there’s much going on, but eh.

Things are starting to take a twist, story-wise. I just finished scanning most of the rest of the chapter and I’m impressed with how much text there is as the chapter goes along. I typically used to avoid doing things like this, but it kind of works in this situation. Can’t say too much without giving it away~

I’ve also drawn up a few new voting incentives picturing the characters doing cute fall-ish things. I was also thinking of doing a “voting drive” the way some comics do donation drives. Like if the comic can get boosted up 50-100 places or so on the list, I’ll do an extra page for the week or something. It really doesn’t take much to get it moving up the list, so that’s something to think about.

In the meantime, if you want to see Eldora being cute for the fall, please vote!

This is also kind of unimportant, but I’m linking it so hopefully Google will pick it up when it sweeps the site but I have a press release for the book I’m trying to get floating around. Not that I actually expect it to go anywhere, but it couldn’t hurt. So, new comic book press release thing here…

So, I’m back. 😀

This update is a two-page update, because when I looked at it again the first page of chapter six is kind of lame and feels like a letdown after waiting for updates so long. So in case you didn’t notice the big note above the comic page, you’ll want to go back a page or two to catch up. Not that there’s much in the way of spoilers here, but confusion happens.

In other notes, the forums are back up and fixed, so go post something. You may have also noticed the “radio chio” link in the top menu. This is new. I’ve seen a bunch of artists and other folks using this site called ustream, so I decided to give it a go. From time to time I plan on doing live streams of drawing and comic stuff, where people can jump in and ask questions and so forth. I did an unannounced test run the other day, and a few random folks jumped in. It was pretty fun, so I hope to do more of this in the future. Watch this blog or the Twitter feed for dates and times.

I have also put in some work on the book this week. If I have the time to finish the art, I hope to have it released by late fall. Maybe I should just set a deadline for myself and be done with it?

Good morning! Page 5-21 is go!

I felt like doing something a little different (within reason) so the next couple of pages here are going to be watercolored. It’s my comic and I’ll do what I want. >( No, seriously, the next bits are supposed to be a little blurry and I like to illustrate those kinds of parts with watercolor. This is trivia, I guess. Although I don’t do it as consistently as I’d like.

Book progress is moving along slowly this week, although it is moving. Got a bunch of work done on page layouts and some illustration work for one of the bonus comics done, so that’s a plus. Right now I’m comparing printers, but it looks like I’m probably going to stick with lulu for now because it seems to be the best quality and price with the least financial investment from me (because I am broke). More details as they come.

Here are some other cool things for the moment:

  • A new forum, if you’ve ever felt like using such a thing.
  • I added a link in my links section to Demon Eater, which is a really neat little comic.
  • IT’S SATURDAY AT LAST YESSSSS
  • I got a haircut. Yay.
  • The next update is all set to go because I managed to get ahead somehow? Go me.
  • There is a new free download from Nine Inch Nails, if you’re into that kinda thing. I love free music, and when it’s free NIN that’s even better. Trivia: my iPod is never without a little Trent. Om nom.
  • I still can’t decide if the Battlestar Galactica finale was satisfying or not. It tied things up but. Baaaawwwww. Now what am I going to watch?

It’s getting nice out again and all I want to do is pack up the car and go on a roadtrip. Around this time last year I was on a twelve-hour drive to Chicago and it was some of the most fun I’ve ever had. There’s no better way to get to know someone than to drive across four states with them. I miss that.

So with that, I’m out. More in a day or two.
