5-19 is up.

I’ve been waiting literally YEARS for this sequence to come up. The “I’m a brave Chio!” line has kind of become an in-joke between me and my fiance, since he sort of helped edit/co-write this chapter way back when. Way, way back when. Anyway.

I have about a half-dozen small comic-related projects going on that will hopefully be up and running soon, for promotion and fun and other stuff. I’m on break this week, so hopefully I’ll have time to get through a bunch of things. :3

One of these projects relies somewhat on the reader poll I posted a few days ago, so if you’re out there and thinking about doing it and haven’t yet, I’d really appreciate the input. The more data I can gather directly from readers, the better. I have referral logs and all that, but human input is much more useful for this.

So that’s that for now, see you in a couple of days. Have a nice weekend! 😀

READER POLL: How did you get here?

READER POLL: How did you get here? published on 6 Comments on READER POLL: How did you get here?

So out of curiosity, I’d like to know how you all found the comic. I’m working on trying to gain new readers (and gather up some of the old ones) now that I’m back to a schedule, so I figured the best place to start would be to ask.

If you’d like to answer (and I’d truly appreciate it if you did) just leave a comment to this post with your response. You don’t have to use your real name and e-mail address like it asks for, that doesn’t get shown to the public and I don’t use it for anything anyway. I’m just curious about where you’re all from. Thanks! :3

Reader Poll: How did you get here?

Answer the following in a comment to this post if you want to help me out.

How did you find messenger-comic.com?
Do you read the comic regularly?
How long have you been reading [messenger]?

Additionally, if you have any ideas about where and how to advertise or pick up new readers, you can throw that in as well.

Updaaaate. 😀

I’ve been playing around with inking drawings with a brush, and decided to start using this method for comics, too. It’s surprisingly much faster than using a pen and much easier to get a nice variation in line widths. It makes things pop much more nicely and I like the effect. So this is the first page (hopefully of many to come) where I’m employing this method.

Also, I thought it would be worth taking a moment to point out the twitter and LJ community I have put together for the comic, as well as asking for a vote on TWC. Speaking of which, I’d like to start posting voting incentives there – does anyone have a preference for what? I was thinking of doing a monthly wallpaper, a preview of the next page, or just odd sketches I’ve been working on. Any preferences? Drop me a comment, I’d love to hear.

Thanks again for reading, and there will be more soon!
