4th Annual Comic Creators For Freedom Fundraising Drive

“Today, governments, civil society and the private sector must unite to eradicate all contemporary forms of slavery. … Together, let us do our utmost for the millions of victims throughout the world who are held in slavery and deprived of their human rights and dignity.”

Message for the International Day
for the Abolition of Slavery
2 December 2012

Today is International Abolition Day, and in honor of this, the Comic Creators For Freedom fundraising drive starts today, organized by Lora Innes of The Dreamer and Crystal Yates of Earthsong! This year, 167 artists contributed images of their characters in “awkward school photos” to be part of one huge wallpaper, which you will receive by donating to the fundraiser. All of the money raised benefits Love 146, which is an international organization working to end child exploitation and slavery. This year I contributed art featuring Eldora, and there is probably art from other creators you know as well, including art by my friends Rx3 from WaMoH and Chu from Slightly Damned!

2013 Theme: Awkward School Photos!

The fundraiser continues through December 14th. Please support this excellent cause!
