Last year I got a job doing pretty much exactly the kind of work I’ve always wanted to do. This is good. However, being a creative sort of work, it made it so that the last thing I wanted to do after I got home every night was do more creative work. This is bad. I’ve half started new pages about a dozen times over the past few months, and gotten nowhere. What changed? I’m not sure. But I’m tired of not doing comics and artwork for myself, so I’m going to make time and start again.

I haven’t decided what the schedule will be yet, but probably once a week for a while until I can knock the rust off my comic-drawing hand.

Just a silly reminder that I’m going to be talking about comics, watercolors, and making comics with watercolors today on the Webcomic Beacon! You can tune in live at 12 PM EST to listen in as I make a fool of myself all over the internet. They’ll also have an archived version up you can download afterwards. Should be a good time.

Also: apologies for the late pages. I have them halfway to complete, and I’m hoping to have them up tonight. Real life is awesome, but also time-consuming, unfortunately.

In a bit of more interesting news, I’m going to be on the Webcomic Beacon podcast on June 19th! I’ll be talking watercolor comics with (I think) Jilly from Demon Eater and possibly some other artists. That part isn’t too clear yet, but it’ll be awesome either way. The episodes are streamed live, but they’re also archived so you can always catch it later, too! I think there’s an opportunity for chat/questions if you tune in live, so mark your calendar!
