the new design is nice, the only thing is that the white column to the left and to the right give the site an empty feeling, but maybe its just me.

Thanks! I’m definitely aware of the empty-looking-ness, though. I’ll tweak the background a bit so it’s a bit less open.
I had some sense that something was going to happen when the chat box and recent comments disappeared from the sidebar of the webpage.
I must say, though, the new design looks nice.
